Some Thoughts followed By "I CAME TO LOVE YOU LATE/POEM BY MICHELLE SECORD

Sorry guys that I'm so BAD about posting to my blog, although I'm not sure anybody really reads it, but my health has been HORRIBLE this summer, and with my post-stroke brain, I actually forget about it! haha Anyway, here's a new poem for you guys, there is some history here. I grew up Catholic, but you know how that usually turns out, so I wasn't a born-again Christian until 1998, when I was around 38, and I wasn't walking consistantly with the Lord until early 2000-2001, then Jesus really got hold of my heart and my life. I've never looked back and I have no regrets. He's worth every insult, every pain, all suffering, because at the end of this ridiculously short life on earth, a tiny blip on eterniy's trail, HE will be waiting with open arms to welcome me home? You may question how I'm so sure about this? Well, His Spirit lives within me and He promised He would always be with me, and God is not aman, so He cannot lie! The Scriptures back up His promises on top of that, more every day it seems lately! sO yes, He's VERY real, and we will ALL bow before Him, either as Savior or Judge, and that's OUR choice!

I CAME TO LOVE YOU LATE
6/21/2011
MICHELLE Y SECORD

When I was young, I didn’t know You,
Nor did I care to know,
Religion was the LAST place I wanted to go!
But I didn’t know..that it’s not about religion,
It’s all about loving You,
And believing Your eternal truth
That You are indeed the ONLY Way,
It doesn’t matter what mere man has to say
And that I came to love You late…
You hold the ONLY words of Absolute Truth
And You proved it by revealing proof upon proof
All creation points to You!
All things were created by You and through You,
Without You nothing was made
The very Word of God became man
Decided before all life or creation…The Plan
That You would die for our sins
And then rise again as proof
Providing the bridge between God and man
The plan…The rugged cross
Your blood spilled instead of ours
Because of who You are
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace
The Author of our faith,
The Truth, The Life, The Way.
I’m so thankful that You came for me on that day,
Even though I came to love You late.
