ENOCH: A MAN WHO WALKED WITH GOD

Enoch's story is one of my favorites, even though it takes up like 2 verses in Genesis 5, 23,24, but it's intriguing none-the-less. If you notice, it looks like he wasn't really walking with God until his son Methuselah is born. THEN everything changes. Pastor Jeremiah explains that quite well, so I won't go over that, but he gives a lot of food for thought, as the saying goes. Although the account in Genesis is brief, and only tells us that Enoch walked with God for 300 years, that he lived 365 years, and that just one day, as he walked with god, he was no more, because God took him. I would imagine the shock of his family, and how they must have searched for Enoch, much as Elijah's friends did when God "caught up" Elijah in the chariot of fire into Heaven. 

In Hebrews "Hall of Faith", 11:5, we are told a little bit more about Enoch, and how he "pleased God" and goes on in verse 6 to tell us that "without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. I totally believe and trust that promise, that as we seek His face, He will give us, fill us with the faith we seek, since true faith is a gift of God, and He is ever faithful to His word. 

Also, Enoch is the FIRST example of the "Rapture" that we see, then Elijah, and even Jesus Himself being "caught up" all pre-figure the Rapture of the church before God's judgment falls on an unbelieving world, and He deals finally with Israel and their rejection of their Messiah, which all culminates in the coming of Christ to the earth from the same place He ascended, Mt Olivet, and Israel WILL BE restored, Salvation will come to the believing remnant as Paul explains in Romans 9-11. And Israel will indeed be a blessing to ALL the nations as prophesied so long ago to Abraham in the covenant that God made with him, an unconditional and eternal covenant to the Jewish people, Physical Israel, Jerusalem, and THE Jewish believing remnant that WILL emerge. WE serve a promise-keeping God, period. And He does not change His word or His promises just because Man wants to change it. Nope. He says what He means and means what He says, and in no way is that "dumbing down" the Scripture as I heard one "Catholic Jesuit" claim, who wants to approach it from "all sides" in some open, mystical, make up your own theology way. Excuse me, and with all due respect, but NO. God did not give us our own options and opinions to decide what Scripture means, that's how all the false teachings got into the church in the first place; man giving first place to MAN"S OPINION OVER GOD"S SPOKEN INSPIRED WORD! WE DON"T GET TO PICK AND CHOOSE OUR OWN MEANINGS FOLKS! GOD MAKES HIS COMMANDS AND HIS WORD PRETTY DARN CLEAR FROM GENESIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH REVELATION!
MAN DECIDING WHAT SCRIPTURE DOES AND DOES NOT SAY IS WHAT LED TO THE FALSE TEACHING OF "REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY" which wrongly teaches that the "church" has totally replaced Israel in God's plan, and that Israel has no further place or role as far as God is concerned, which is a stretch, and that's putting it mildly. You have to do a whole lot of Scripture twisting to get to  that conclusion, and throw out EVERY Old Testament Prophet, each one of which prophecies the full restoration and salvation of PHYSICAL ISRAEL and PHYSICAL JERUSALEM, and the Jewish people, albeit a remnant, but saved. God stays the same, as I said. Man is the one who as time has passed, who has deemed it their "right" to mess with God's holy inerrant, infallible word, as if He needs OUR Help? Pretty presumptuous isn't it?

Lord, Thy will be done on earth as it is on heaven;

There it is for you who DOUBT; He WILL have His way

On earth as it is in heaven, why else teach us to pray it?

AND it has NEVER been fulfilled. He taught us to pray it and believe it;

Christ is saving His own from God’s wrath to come upon the whole world.

And He is saving us by taking us to be with Him where He dwells in glory.

You must understand that by His great sacrifice, He gets to write our story.

God’s word is clear and uncomplicated, written for the common man;

No need to be a scholar, the Holy Spirit takes us by the hand…

You are so blind with your demands

Jesus paid for every bit of wrath for His own when He died upon the cross;

What is it that you do not get or understand?

We are NO LONGER condemned!

And God’s wrath against man’s unbelief is what Daniels 70^th week is all about!

And dealing with Israel’s sin and bringing them into redemption without a doubt!

Jesus legitimizes ALL of this in His Mount Blivet discourse,

Which is exactly where He returns to earth,

When He returns WITH His saints, NOT for them!

I wonder: Have you ever really just pondered these two little verses packed with SO much truth? Jesus Messiah was God's chosen "servant" to make a way for men and God to be re-united.
But how often do we ponder the DEPTH of suffering Jesus endured to set us free from our sin and shame! Yet many claim to be "Christians" but you would never know it by the lives they live Monday through Sunday, a lot like the lost, which the lost notice, and then that could very probably keep your lost neighbor from EVER knowing Christ, because there is NO difference between the way The "Christian" lives and the lost. So what, I humbly ask, would be the reason they would #1 take YOUR faith seriously and #2 EVER say yes when asked to go to church or some other event with you.
Why? Because you have NO WITNESS beloved!
So, though none of us is perfect as long as we are in this flesh,
The Lord STILL promises to keep us from temptations to sin if we but turn to Him, yet we continue to push Him away. Do that enough and He just might stay away. If you ARE Born again, truly, then you are NOT your own.
You were bought with Jesus precious holy blood and dare we take that so lightly? Do we continue to mock Him and remove His name from every corner
of this once great country and actually think we will get away
With it? Or the MURDER of 50million+ innocent babies deemed too "inconvenient" for the mother. Although with younger patients the problem is they are afraid and confused, and nobody is really clear about the horrors that await, or the depression that can hit years after wards like a F5 tornado, ripping the heart out of your body WITH NO WARNING!!!
Thank God for His Son for there is forgiveness to be found through Christ
and He's great with broken hearts. I DO question those who have had MULTIPLE ABORTIONS,  THUS MURDERING MULTIPLE CHILDREN, though there is forgiveness for the worst in all of us, but do they seriously NOT know about protection? I MEAN...Really? The horror OF ONE WASN'T ENOUGH?
BUT...the holocaust in America MUST STOP. I agree that a woman has a right to HER body but absolutely NOT to her unborn child's body! And the lies and propaganda put out by the pro-abortion side are lies at best. One thing I DO KNOW, God judges nations that knowingly spill innocent blood! Mark my words! And pray, please pray for the Holy Spirit to help you see the REAL story hidden behind innocence on air. Time to stop all of that right?

My groans are my prayers and

I know that You are there,

Lord, I feel as though I cannot get enough air

My prayers are whispers and sighs,

So all who are introduced to me or do not know me surmise…

My shower this morning was torture,

In darkness, He is my Light, He helps me fight

He hears the prayers unspoken,

The feeling of wanting to give up

He knows my faith is no mere token

And that after a great battle of wills and surrender,

I’ve accepted this bitter cup…

There’s great grace in the pain

That’s found nowhere else

Because you learn to really trust in Christ,

With ALL that you are,

With every bit of your life…

We learn through the struggle,

And we learn through the strife

Even though the pain can cut you like a knife!

I found Dr. Whites presentation almost insulting in his attitude towards Dr. Brown, as if Calvinism is the be all and end all, which seems to be a COMMON attitude among Calvinists, with all due respect, an almost, "We're the chosen and we know best" divisive attitude that Dr. Brown is working so hard to fight. It "feels" like it's a "we know better" about God AND Scripture as well, really guys? Better than the God who wrote and breathed out every word? God is totally sovereign as Dr. Brown explained respectfully and knowledgeably. I found Dr. White  condescending, nor did I find anything that Dr. Brown Said that would somehow "limit" God, as Dr. White suggested. God is absolutely all-knowing, all-powerful, and I find Dr. Brown humble and trusting that sovereign God. I don't know that Dr. Brown was making the argument that God is trying to save every single person, though the blood of Jesus and His sacrifice are sufficient, Scripture shows that not ALL will be saved. The wrath of God DOES exist, but Dr. White seemed to intimate that we as believers are open to that wrath, though Scripture clearly tells us different; first there is now NO Condemnation FOR THOSE IN CHRIST JESUS-Rom 8:1 and "Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved FROM GOD'S WRATH FROM HIM!"-Romans 5:9 Forgiveness then, CAN be offered, though not all WILL BE saved. And God takes NO PLEASURE in the death of the wicked.-Ezekiel 18:32. A Calvinist, it seems, EVERY time I hear them, must dance around and do as lot of Scripture "gymnastics" to make Scripture fit "their" theology instead of God's word supporting them. Dr. Brown takes the Scripture plainly as God meant it, where I hear and see so much dancing around with "Calvinists", again, no disrespect intended, just something that really STANDS OUT! God knows everything BECAUSE HE IS GOD AND HE IS SOVEREIGN.PERIOD. Calvinism confuses meaning, structure, and PUTS GOD IN A BOX, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!  Dr. White's attitude seemed very condescending towards Dr. Brown, who is a respected scholar in his own right.Seemed like Man's arrogance on display once again, which is my whole issue with Calvinism, the pride I continually see, hear and have seen too much of, really. Dr. Brown's simple acceptance of God as who HE IS and his trust in God's word that the Lord wrote for the common man to not only read but to understand seems so foreign to Dr. White as if from another world. It seems that Dr. White MUST BE RIGHT, and Dr. Brown has that child-like faith that Jesus asks of us. Paul said to avoid pointless arguments that revolve around man's pride. Pride seems ALWAYS present with Calvinists. They MUST argue, and they MUST BE RIGHT ALL THE TIME. Very wearisome. I go back to the rule of Scripture interpretation that I heard from a very wise sage, a Jewish scholar who is an expert in the Old Testament Scriptures and beyond,"If the literal sense makes plain sense, seek no other sense so you don't end up with nonsense." Well put professor. Now, in the last session between Dr. Brown and Dr. White, Dr. White was almost beside himself pushing Dr. Brown saying things like, "Oh, you're almost there my friend!" as if Calvinism is the Great Theology of all the ages to which we all would adhere to if we only had the sense that the Calvinists do.If it's SO wonderful, why  did John Calvin build his own little "Vatican city" in Geneva, Switzerland, and kill people who wouldn't believe his TULIP theology? ANY Men thinking they are like God has gone too far too often. Michael Brown is an activist who fights for the pure truth of the Scripture, and I stand behind men like him, because they remind me most of our Lord Jesus, with childlike faith in God's word that sophisticated "scholars like Dr. White scoff at. Well, scoff away, it's just NOT that complicated. God didn't mean for it to be; man has made it that way with his pride and arrogance; still falling for that first Satanic lie, "Has God really said...?" YES, HE DID, AND HE MEANS WHAT HE SAYS AND SAYS WHAT HE MEANS! So we should quit adding to it and subtracting from it to make it fit our particular theology; and it's always some MAN"S theology..anyone else notice that? Dr. Brown seems to get it. And I don't think he was arguing against ALL points of Calvinism, just ones that don't line up with Scripture, like the late Dave Hunt fought for all his life, down to his last breath. Yeah, the "Calvinists" did NOT appreciate his TULIP book refuting the 5 points of Calvinism and showing pretty clearly WHY it doesn't line up with Scripture. That is why Dave Hunt's Ministry is called The Berean Call, after the Bereans in the book of Acts who were commended for ALWAYS checking what they heard with Scripture to see if it lined up, EVEN listening to Paul! WE SHOULD ALL BE DOING THAT TODAY WITH SO MUCH DECEPTION RUNNING RAMPANT!

THE DEADLY LIE OF THE HYPER-GRACE DOCTRINE

The deadly lie of the hyper-grace doctrine

Another false, deadly doctrine made up by our pride:' above all else, men seek power and control, so they rationalize the fact that they are basically "spitting in God's face" as it were, to 1) make-up such a godless doctrine to begin with, which mocks Jesus' gruesome torture and death to pay for OUR SINS, as HE WAS SINLESS, as NOBODY ELSE EVER WAS: NOBODY-as supported by Scripture.

 Hyper-grace is professing "Christians" who, most likely, have no true relationship with our Lord Jesus. A true love for the Lord would prohibit them from a lifestyle revolving around "self" and "what's in it for me?'; living life THEIR WAY instead of how GOD commands that we, as true followers of Christ should live. Though, to be clear, lest someone take MY words out of context, being saved is not achieved by the "law"; following some man-made list of do's and dont's. Indeed we MUST have that "second birth" in our heart and souls, to be born again, as Jesus explained in John 3:3,7,16-21. And Paul taught us that "in Christ" we DO have grace and liberty; but that grace IS NOT CHEAP, we were bought with the price of Jesus' blood who laid down His life, ONCE FOR ALL, To be the substitute, to die in our stead; His death brought down the barrier between God and man so that now, through faith by grace, we can boldly come before God's throne of grace OURSELVES, without a HUMAN MEDIATOR; for Christ Himself is now mediator between God and man and He is our Great High Priest who intercedes for those who belong to Him and brings our prayers before the Father!

 And relationship NOT religion is CRUCIAL TO GET; Works DO NOT SAVE (i.e. church attendance, communion, baptism, penance, confession, etc) Christ makes this VERY clear in the Scriptures! If we have a true relationship with Jesus, we should be "confessing" on a daily basis before Him and we are promised forgiveness in 1 John 1:9-10 "If we confess our sins, He is FAITHFUL and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us." Note the absence of ANY MENTION of having to go through some fallible, sinful "man" to receive forgiveness from our sins, by doing penance? Penance is described in the Oxford Dictionary of English as; 1) punishment inflicted upon oneself as an outward expression of repentance for wrongdoing and 2)a "sacrament" (as defined by man), in which a member of the church "confesses sins to a priest and is "given absolution" and 3)a religious observance or other DUTY REQUIRED of a person BY a priest as part of this "sacrament" to indicate repentance. Really? Are they serious? 

Talk about two extremes; Hyper-grace, which treats Jesus' sacrifice with arrogance and pride and the absence of grace, being lost in the darkness of religion and legalism, also steeped in man's pride!Legalism kills grace and twists Scripture to make it line up with their agenda and man's tradition, especially given that we see no hint of this "legalism" in the New Testament coupled with Jesus' own "hatred" of man's religion and traditions. PLUS, the book of Hebrews makes it clear that we now need NO OTHER mediator but our Lord Himself. And Paul states in 1 Timothy 2:5-6,"For there is ONE GOD, and there is ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave Himself as a RANSOM FOR ALL which is the testimony given at the proper time." In these days in which we find ourselves, we need to be like the Berean believers who in Acts 17:11 are commended for being more fair minded than those in Thessalonica--because not only were they eager to receive the Word, but the Bereans also checked it against what the Apostle Paul taught them in order to see if his teaching was according to the Scriptures! And that is EXACTLY what we the church need to do-desperately, with SO many "professing Christians" being Biblically illiterate, they can quickly be "carried about by every wind of doctrine. We MUST KNOW THE TRUTH TO WALK IN IT! But also, while we cannot put the God of all creation in a box, we live in the times Jesus spoke of in Matt 24, and indeed, there is great deception out there now, as never before, and growing daily, and that growth will only continue to rise, so we need

A Quite intriguing article; especially in light of the fact that ALL the signs that Christ DID say to watch for that would indicate the increasing nearness of His return are, in fact, happening much, much closer together and with increasing intensity, along with loss of life, limb and all possessions for people hit. And while these increases are written off as a  natural result of "Global Warming," that truly is immaterial for God uses whatever He pleases to fulfill His plan for mankind and Israel. The ONLY thing that saves us is a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. He IS the ONLY PATH. " I am The Way, The Truth, And The Life, No ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME" - John 14:6

God's word is truth and His prophecies have ALWAYS been fulfilled 100% and so Jesus' Second Coming. You can count on YOUR LIFE that He's Coming, SO in light of that truth, Are you ready to meet the LORD face to face?

"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble"-James 4:6 Who are you to re-write God's prophetic word and "decide" that it means God has replaced His firstborn with you???  It's time to lay that hateful, arrogant, man-made doctrine down, repent of our pride and ask for God's forgiveness AND ISRAEL'S. They've been persecuted long enough, they should have us by their side NOT ON THEIR ENEMIES SIDE! And THEN we should join ranks with ALL of our AWESOME Messianic Brothers and Sisters out there and stand as one church united in Christ's Love. I thank my Messianic Brother and author, Michael Brown for opening my eyes in his book "Our Hands Are Stained With Blood," for showing me how the Replacement Theology is just as hateful as so many persecutions by the church in the past to put blame where it does not belong and to de-legitimize a people who still are, in every way, God's firstborn, God's chosen, not because they were the largest group on earth so many thousands of years ago, but because He CHOSE to LOVE them and to put His seal on them FOREVER. And when God says FOREVER, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE MEANS. 

And the ONLY place "Replacement Theology" could have been birthed from would have been one)the enemies plan since he's been trying to destroy them any way he can for centuries and 2)hidden bias and hatred for Israel or the Jews themselves and of course pride and arrogance, man thinking he knows better than God, so he changes the whole meaning of God's Word. Jesus had THIS to say about THAT, "This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching AS DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN." -Matt 14:8-9 I think that's pretty applicable here. Repent for The Kingdom of God is at hand! Indeed!

WHAT DO I DO WITH THE PAIN?

This is a very personal post I've decided to share because I believe there are a lot of Women out there; Christian and not; who feel as though they are struggling alone with a beloved spouse who is an alcoholic, seeming almost to look at in We're suffering in silence, praying for that miracle; most of the time left wondering "What did I even say to bring THAT on??? At least that was me tonight, and countless nights, with no way to defend myself or fight back, because you are being verbally torn to shreds by the man who once cherished you and held you in his arms! Wow! How DO you deal with that pain? And I'm suffering from chronic Fibromyalgia and a stroke in 2007 that hit my emotional and thought processing center, so it does not take much to totally overwhelm me and send me into awful panic attacks. Tonight it's been SO HARD to just HOLD ON,and my pain is going crazy all over. So I'm posting this hoping it might touch someone elses heart. And my husband has (prior to this evening, praying that won't change), agreed to Pastoral councel and we have an appt on Tuesday afternoon. I can only pray, that after years of suffering under his drunken anger (he's lovely sober), we can find some help!.

What do I do with this ripping pain O God, tearing through my heart?
That comes as rage from the very one who loved me at the start?
When words of rage were few, but they always came with too much booze;
And then? He doesn’t care that the words cut like knives and of course I’m to blame
for my own inner bruise, and the scars left forming when he’s done.
Words like poison rip through my soul, and there’s not a friend to turn to; indeed, I’m all alone;
And once more my words are twisted around and used against me;
Suddenly, “I’ve done everything wrong and opined against him every day of our lives;”
Only I’m stone-cold sober and I know that it’s a lie, but there’s no use trying
To talk any sense for he can no longer hear; the addiction has him tonight;
And the ultimatum is plain; continue to speak and I walk out, and YOU”RE the one to blame!
It’s such a shame to see someone just throw their life away on something
so meaningless and so evil, that causes so much pain’
But they don’t care because they choose not to see that pain, the ones it leaves behind;
The marriages lost; family’s destroyed, all for drink and so THEY can feel good:
To hell with anyone else; a true addict thinks only of themselves
So I sit in this lonely quiet Lord, feeling lost and so alone;
Aching for what I cannot reach; the love I once was freely shown;
And I long to have him back with me, but he’s much too far away;
He misreads all my actions Lord, and everything I try to say, so it doesn’t matter anyway;
But please tell me please, for I do not know, where to put this pain;
That rips and tears and follows everywhere, and is impossible to explain…
Please hear this cry from one so small, because I cannot feel you near;
What I once thought was going to be a miracle just turned into the same old game…
So perhaps you’re out of miracles just now, or for the last 12 years;
through too many fights and angry words and nights filled with unspeakable fear
would Your mercy get him home alright again or would something horrible be-fall?
nights spent on my knees begging for his safe return; and mercy stayed Your hand;
But I’m too battle-weary now dear Lord, and I’ve naught left in me to fight
So if You wouldn’t mind too much, wrap Your loving embrace around me warm tonight…
but I can no longer take the pain of his cruel words and the way they tear and bite…
How can one who claims to love you speak so many times with hatefulness and spite???

So to so many who are lost, this salvation "gift" seems too good to be true; man's pride rises up and insists," surely I MUST DO something, some work, some sacrament, some penance? NO, NO, NO! THAT is RELIGION my friends; Jesus comes to us through a true, deep relationship, made possible by His death on the cross whereby HE paid OUR sin debt, for ALL sin; past, present and future. It is faith by grace through faith, which is a gift of God, not of Works, so that NO Man may boast! Jesus came to set the captives free, and one of the things man is held captive by is RELIGION with it's legalism, rules, "sacraments" and man's tradition, made more important than our Savior. He died ONCE for ALL, the "works we do are BECAUSE we are saved, NOT TO BE SAVED! Can you see how man's pride stains everything it touches, we have to meddle even with God's holy word, because we think we CAN be like Him, we STILL BELIEVE Satan's first lie. Its about Jesus! NOT Jesus PLUS ANYTHING or Jesus MINUS ANYTHING, but we are deaf andf dumb and we DO ADD and we DO take away from God's breathed word, as if we know better than God? Such arrogance just slays me! JUDGING/TESTING FALSE TEACHERS AND PREACHERS
Again, Pastor Lutzer gives us such valuable information in helping us know what to look for when we are dealing with false teachers and prophets. Ultimately, I cannot stress the importance of having a solid working knowledge of the Bible for ourselves. Many misunderstand too what the "Judgment Seat of Christ" is as important as it is, or the true purpose. Believers will not be judged for their sin, for true believers have had their sins forgiven by being born again by faith through the Lord's grace, having a relationship with Christ, and not empty religion. We will be judged for what we did on earth that counted for eternity, and receive rewards for works done AFTER salvation has occurred, we ARE NOT saved by good works. But someone said to me that she did not believe that it would not be held against her for not knowing the Bible . BUT, here's what GOD DOES say about it; "Do your best to show yourselves approved, a worker who has NO NEED to BE ASHAMED, RIGHTLY HANDLING THE WORD OF TRUTH. 

But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene." 2 Timothy 2:15-17 "But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: "The Lord knows those whose are His," and,"Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity."
Again, it's time to re-access our priorities as believers in Christ, and like those believers in Ephesus, renew our FIRST LOVE FOR OUR SAVIOR, and be ready to STAND for that LOVE!

Pastor Erwin Lutzer, Senior Pastor at Moody Church in Chicago does a great job giving us specific signs to look for when we are seeing/hearing the rapid proliferation of false prophets AND teachings at levels spoken of by Jesus Himself in Matthew 24 to describe how deep and wide it would go in the days leading up to His return. We ABSOLUTELY MUST JUDGE these people and what they both DO and DO NOT teach, for most often they will use just enough truth to "sound" legit, BUT it's twisted to match THEIR theology or doctrine that is FALSE. So you can see the ABSOLUTE NECESSITY of our KNOWLEDGE OF OUR BIBLES!!! Yet, MOST of "professing" Christians are today Biblically illiterate, many knowing BY MEMORY the RULES AND MEN'S TRADITIONS AND EVERY SAINT'S NAME, BUT SEE NO REASON to spend the time to learn God's INFALLIBLE WORD???? SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN??? And if we think that living here in America, with all of our freedom and access TO God's word; that Jesus will NOT hold us accountable for KNOWING that word to the best of our ability? And remember, because Christ certainly does: WE MAKE TIME FOR WHAT MEANS THE MOST TO US! 

And please don't take this as an insult against those of you who work out and exersize and all that good stuff-nothing wrong with that, but everything in moderation, because we humans can make just about ANYTHING an idol and then do EVERYTHING to deny that truth. But here is what Paul, or God through Paul actually, had to say about it; "For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
